wither & grow final.jpg

In these poems, you will find parts of Erin’s life experience. She writes to navigate the complexities of childhood trauma, healing, parenting, and self-love. Divided into three sections — mind scattered, heart slowed, and feet planted — Erin’s direct and contemplative versus invite readers to embark on a journey of self-reflection and growth.

Mind scattered confronts the impact of an abusive childhood and the struggle to find herself. Heart slowed illustrates the joys and challenges of parenthood, revealing the delicate balance between healing and vulnerability. Finally, feet planted celebrates the flow of life and nature and encourages readers to re-evaluate their relationship with themselves, others, and earth.

with each passing year

i am propelled to grow

and wither

seasons come and go

the cycles live within me

life is not always clear

but always moves forward

i trust the process
